Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is making moves with DLC characters like Dr. Eggman, collabing with Young Dirty Bastard (ODB’s son), and a special speedrun challenge. The game releases on August 29, 2025.
Dr. Eggman DLC Pre-Order bonus for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
SEGA announced that pre-orders digital version of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will receive a 10% discount, as well as unlock the SEGA Villains Stage when the game releases in early 2026. Moreover, the Sega Villains Stage will contain Dr. Eggman and two guest villains. We don’t know who these are yet, but they will be announced in the future. Can you guess who they will be? Young Dirty Bastard Music Video Collabs with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
Young Dirty Bastard, yes, son of Old Dirty Bastard (RIP), of the Wu-Tang Clan, is collaborating with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance to release a video that weaves YDB’s music and lyrics with pulse-pounding gameplay from the game itself. You can see the video here.
That’s not all: YDB is also collaborating with the game to release some SHINOBI-branded merch. Including t-shirts, hoodies, and more. You can check out the collection here. There’s some really cool stuff. Looking at you, Lord Cognito of ILP. We know you’re a ninja at heart.
Speedrun Challenge
Calling all speedrunners! There’s currently a speedrun challenge going on where players can see how quickly they can complete both the classic 1993 game and the demo from the current Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. The demo is free and features an enhanced version of the game’s first stage. It’s currently available for all platforms. The challenge ends on August 24, 2025, @ 11:59 PM UTC / 7:59 PM ET, so head on over if you think you’ve got the chops. You can find those details here.
