Dispatch Coming to Nintendo Switch in January
The hit choice-driven superhero adventure Dispatch has seemingly leaked onto the Australian Nintendo eShop, confirming ports for both the original Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2. Pre-order links that reveal a January 29, 2026 release date—complete with a free upgrade path for Switch 2 owners.
SDN on the Go

Originally a PlayStation 5 console exclusive (alongside PC), Dispatch exploded onto the scene in late 2025 with its innovative episodic structure. Developed by AdHoc Studio—a team of ex-Telltale Games and Night School Studio veterans behind classics like The Wolf Among Us and Oxenfree—the game dropped eight bite-sized episodes weekly from October 22 to November 12. It blends narrative-driven adventure, strategic hero deployment, and sharp raunchy humor. It sold over 2 million copies in its first month and was nominated for Best Debut Indie at The Game Awards 2025.
In Dispatch, players step into the boots of Robert Robertson (aka Mecha Man), an out-of-commission superhero forced into a desk job at the Superhero Dispatch Network after his suit is wrecked by arch-nemesis Shroud. Managing a ragtag team of reformed supervillains, the Z-Team, you assign them to emergencies via a tactical map while balancing stats, cooldowns, and risks. Robert will also navigate romances, betrayals, revenge and rebuilding his suit in a fictional version of Los Angeles. Branching choices shape relationships and multiple endings.
The Nintendo versions are now available for pre-order in Australia at $39.55 AUD (10% off $43.95), clocking in at around 14GB. The Switch 2 Edition promises enhanced resolution and frame rates, with a free upgrade pack for original Switch buyers.
Final Thoughts

AdHoc Studio hasn’t officially commented yet, but this eShop slip-up signals strong momentum for the indie darling. With Switch 2 looming, Dispatch could be a perfect handheld hero to kick off 2026 for Nintendo fans. Check out my full review of Dispatch here.
