Go inside the church to start a puzzle. The game will not explain explicitly how to solve it, but the hint that is given is cryptic. It will tell you to make a cross with the statue involved pretty obvious, but what does this mean? Well, you will have to go to the archway that the statue is standing near, then cross over to the other end, and then take the corner upward through the upper archway all the way down. This will activate a small bridge to use the staircase in the middle, and that will take you out through the Blue Door outside.
