HD-2D Zelda is on the Way – The Adventures of Elliot is Arriving this Summer

Yesterday, Nintendo hosted a brand new Partner Direct with brand new reveals, ports, and release dates for the games coming to the best-selling system of all time, the Nintendo Switch 2. One of the highlights from the early morning showcase was a game from Square Enix’s newly formed HD-2D division that I am very excited for. That being their take on the action-RPG formula with The Adventures of Elliot. This game got a brand new trailer showing off new gameplay with a release date set for this summer. But when is it launching, and should you be excited for it?

Yes, You Should Be Excited for The Adventures of Elliot

That is because it is launching in the middle of June this year. On June 18th, The Adventures of Elliot will be making its way to consoles, PC, and, of course, the Nintendo Switch 2. The newest trailer showed off some of the boss fights and the different eras Elliot and his fairy companion Faie will venture through to save the princess in his realm.

The gameplay showed off 3 different boss encounters. Including a giant salamander that shot fire across the battleground. Not to mention a boss that showed off a deflection mechanic against spiky balls thrown at Elliot. The environments in each bit of gameplay shown looked breathtaking. From the cityscapes to the trails filled with monsters for Elliot to take down. Below will be the newest trailer for The Adventures of Elliot.

If you would like to pre-order the game, which is going to be $59.99 USD. You will also be eligible for save file bonuses depending on what other games from the developers you have purchased in the past. Such as Triangle Strategy and Octopath Traveler 0. The full list can be found here.
