Top 10 Games

In a report from Trueachievements. It has been reported from a company-wide sent email throughout ZeniMax that Shinji Mikami will be leaving Tango Gameworks soon. This email has reportedly been sent from Bethesda senior vice president Todd Vaughn.

What does this mean for Tango Gameworks?

In the email sent through ZeniMax, it was said:

“I am writing today to let you know that studio head Shinji Mikami has decided to leave Tango Gameworks in the coming months,” Vaughn said. “Mikami-san has been a creative leader and supportive mentor to young developers at Tango for 12 years through his work on the Evil Within franchise, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and of course, Hi-Fi Rush.”

In the report, it is also stated that support for Ghostwire: Tokyo and Hi-Fi Rush will continue while leadership decides what Tango Gameworks will be working on in the future. Aside from those games. However, as sad as this news is. In this same email, Vaughn stated the following:

In the email, Vaughn called Hi-Fi Rush “one of the most successful launches for Bethesda and Xbox in recent years,” adding that the rhythm-based action game has “generated significant positive momentum for the business and Tango.”
