Today, Digital Extremes shared the news that the next major update for Warframe, “The Seven Crimes of Kullervo” is coming on June 21st. Bringing with it the 53rd warframe, Kullervo, his signature shotgun, and a heavy blade skin. As well as a new location and character in Duviri and gardening in Teshins Cave. Alongside new activities to do in The Duviri Experience mode for Duviri. Here is everything you need to know about this major content update for Warframe.

Details on Kullervo and How to Earn Him

On the site for Warframe, Digital Extremes has shared what his abilities will play like:

  • Passive: Whispers of Vaenn
Kullervo boasts increased Heavy Attack Efficiency and Heavy Attack Wind Up Speed on all Melee weapons.
  1. Wrathful Advance:
(TAP) Kullervo charges a Heavy Attack then teleports to his target and strikes. His rage-filled focus temporarily increases his Critical Chance.
(HOLD) Teleport to any marked location.
  2. Recompense:
Kullervo surrounds himself with daggers. Each dagger that strikes an enemy restores his health, but each dagger that misses an enemy strikes Kullervo, dealing a bit of damage. When Kullervo has max Health, he receives Overguard from struck enemies.
  3. Collective Curse:
Kullervo sends forth a curse that binds enemies. When a cursed enemy takes damage, every other cursed enemy also suffers a portion of that damage.
  4. Storm of Ukko:
The Void answers Kullervo’s invocation with a storm of daggers that rain down upon his enemies.

Details on Armor, Shield, and Health stats are unknown. But his kit sounds incredible. When The Seven Crimes of Kullervo gets added, there will be a new island called Kullervo’s Hold. This new island will only be around during Sorrow, Anger, or Fear spirals. For the first two weeks of the update, you can go into dedicated Duviri runs to fight him for a special resource. In Devstream 171, they did mention that you can buy his blueprints from Acrithis with this resource.

New Activities and Changes in Duviri for Warframe

The Seven Crimes of Kullervo will be adding a whole slew of new stuff for the game, including some changes. But first, you will finally have gardening in Teshin’s Cave. This will allow you to harvest 6 plants per day, how you start this is unknown, but this is very much needed. The Undercroft will now have a boss battle during extermination rounds against a “familiar” foe, which is speculated to be Captain Vor. There are now corrupted Decrees in Duviri runs, such as “King’s Collateral”, which does not allow further revives, but adds a +200% chance of obtaining rare decrees.

Additionally, in The Duviri Experience runs, you can now enter Undercroft portals around the world after defeating the Orowyrm and collecting seven decrees. Going through this portal will put you in an activity that will be more challenging than the normal ones and reward you with Duviri-specific arcanes.

New Cosmetics

As with every major update in Warframe, there will be a slew of cosmetics coming to the game. Including new Kaithe cosmetics, a new drifter suit, and a new batch of Tennogen items from creators. As well as the Gauss Kresnik Deluxe bundle which includes a hermes themed skin for Gauss, as well as an Acceltra deluxe skin and similarly themed syandana.

No details on the file size for this update are known for now, but The Seven Crimes of Kullervo will be free and will launch on the following platforms on June 21st:

  • Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One.
  • Nintendo Switch.
  • PC Via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
