It is quite common for many gaming subscription services to rotate the catalog of games available on their service. Whether it’s PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass. There is a constant revolving door of games leaving the service as well as other games being added. Usually, however, it is uncommon for a first-party title to be removed from a subscription service. But, thanks to a keen-eyed Reddit user it appears that Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition will be departing PlayStation Plus later this month.

In a Reddit post by Melodic_Cake_3344, their screenshot indicates that Horizon Zero Dawn will be departing PlayStation Plus on May 21st, 2024. This is particularly odd as the game is developed by Guerrilla Games a long-time first-party studio of PlayStation. While it is not completely unheard of for first-party software to depart from a subscription service. It does seem like a weird omission to have one of the biggest games from the PlayStation 4 removed from PlayStation Plus.

This decision has left some fans scratching their heads. It has fueled speculation that the rumored remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn for PlayStation 5 could be released soon. Currently, there is no evidence of this being the reason. However, it doesn’t take long for fans to begin speculating. If rumors continue to circulate, I would expect PlayStation to make a statement to clarify this situation.
