Dead By Daylight players logged in Monday evening to exciting news. Nancy, Steve, and the Demogorgon from the Netflix series Stranger Things have returned!
Demodoggo No Longer Missing in Dead by Daylight!
First released in September 2019, the Stranger Things chapter (Dead by Daylight’s fancy name for DLC/expansions) added in the Demogorgon as a new Killer who could spawn Upside-Down portals to zoom from one spot to another. Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington were added in as Survivors. Everyone still got a taste of the show’s presence regardless if they bought the DLC or not. As Hawkins National Laboratory was added in as a map as well.
However, the community was shaken in August 2021 when developer Behaviour Interactive announced that they would be delisting the chapter in November 2021. The studio stated that the decision was not made by their own accord, but Netflix’s. Many speculated the delisting had something to do with the coincidental launch of Netflix’s own video game streaming service. To this day, Netflix has yet to give a reason for the delisting.
Regardless, the DLC is now available to buy once again in Dead by Daylight. In addition to this, you can also nab any cosmetics that were made for Nancy, Steve, and the Demogorgon via the in-game shop. That said, expect many Scoops Ahoy staff and Demodogs to run amok online.
