Going Ultimate – Marvel Rivals Launch Trailer & Full Roster Revealed

Marvel Rivals

As the December 6th release of Marvel Rivals approaches, many wondered who the final characters were. While the game will continually be updated with new heroes throughout its lifecycle, the launch roster wasn’t fully revealed.

This latest trailer revealed some surprising inclusions, alongside additional information for wishlisting the title and when the servers officially go live on all platforms.

Marvel Rivals – Launch Trailer Breakdown

The trailer starts with Galactica appearing, then cuts to the final additional characters coming to Marvel Rivals. Finishing off the thirty-three roster of playable heroes include Psylock, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Cloak & Dagger, Squirrel Girl, and Wolverine.

The revealed heroes join the already-announced heroes like Spider-Man and the Avengers, showing off potential team-up attacks. One highlight of the trailer included Hulk and Wolverine doing the ‘fast-ball special’, an iconic attack from the comics.

The trailer music ‘Rivals ‘Till the End’, performed by vocalist Chrissy Costanza, matched the energy of the animation and I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the game’s score when it releases.

Launch Details – Wishlishting, Pre-Loading, Soundtrack Release

The Marvel Rivals website reveals that Pre-Loading on Steam begins on December 4th. Console players on Xbox and PlayStation can download the game during its official December 6th launch. Wishlisting on Steam is currently active.

The game’s soundtrack, ‘Galatic Tunes’, will be released on all streaming platforms on December 6th, but a physical vinyl is up for pre-order.

Closing Thoughts on Marvel Rivals

As a big fan of Marvel, information surrounding Marvel Rivals continues to excite me. The massive roster of heroes, all micro-transactions confirmed to be cosmetic only, and a clear game plan for the game’s future throughout 2025.

It’s a live-service game that knows what it wants to accomplish and in an industry where even the titans struggle to gain success, that’s a major advantage going into launch. Look forward to further coverage on Marvel Rivals at Lords of Gaming when it releases on December 6th.
