Sudden Death is now Revenge

Two months after the game launched, Motion Twin provided their first big update to Windblown. The first is Sudden Death’s replacement, Aptly named Revenge. In sudden death, if teammates fall in battle, you’re tasked with killing a certain number of enemies to bring their teammates back. The kicker is that players perish in one hit.

This proved tough especially late in the runs. Motion Twin replaced it with revenge. When your teammate dies in battle, revenge kicks in and players become faster and deal more damage. Enemies also deal additional damage, but there is still an allotment of enemies to kill before getting your teammates back.

Weapon Additions in Windblown

The endless update also brings a couple of new weapons. The Fiery Claws and the Umbrella are unique and have distinct alter attacks tied. New trinkets are also added to help give more variety to a chosen playstyle and builds.

Endless Update for Windblown

Let’s break down the most recent update to Windblown, which is titled Endless Update. This update adds an endless mode. This mode allows players to keep boosts and gifts earned upon the completion of a run. Then, after completing the Endless Mode, the game starts a brand-new run. The goal here is to keep adding boosts and unlocking more gift slots. All in efforts to push builds to the max.

The endless update1 also allows for gear reforging, letting players change up or upgrade trinkets and weapons. Some other minor changes that came with this update include the addition of the codex. The codex offers more information on stats such as enemies killed and the number of runs played. Another addition is the Persistent/Duplicate saves. This allows players to stop mid-run and come back to it later. Another option is to have a secondary save that allows for more focused runs

Motion Twin ends their patch update post on Steam, mentioning the team is working on a new Biome. That is very exciting! The game has changed drastically since launch and more updates are coming. The game is currently part of the early access program on Seam, regularly going for 24.99!
