It has been a historic launch for Nintendo with the Nintendo Switch 2. It has sold over 5 million consoles already, and that is only with two very big titles on the system, one month in. That being Mario Kart World and Cyberpunk: 2077, with Donkey Kong: Bananza coming soon to keep the momentum going. That being said, there are a ton of new and old games that should be announced for its growing audience. In fact, we already have an extensive list of noteworthy titles that Nintendo should lock down for guaranteed ports. But, as a JRPG fan myself, I would like to see Atlus recognize Nintendo more with their recent releases.
Sure, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable are available to play. As well as Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, after having its original version as a permanent exclusive. But in recent years, Atlus has not been able to port recent titles to the original Nintendo Switch. That is due to technical limitations, for the most part. But the original Switch and now Switch 2 audience is still massive and eager to play the JRPG greatness they never fail to deliver. Below will be 5 personal and worthy picks for the Nintendo Switch 2 audience if they cannot be made for the original console.
Soul Hackers 2, (No Really)
Soul Hackers 2 was my first real foray into the Atlus catalog. As someone who primarily played on Xbox, it was the first modern Atlus-released JRPG for that system. Back then, I really enjoyed the extensive experience, its style, unique combat system, and some thrilling surprises in the story. I am currently revisiting it on Valve’s Steam Deck handheld and having a blast revisiting it. I do think that while the writing is decent (albeit very over-written) and the voice acting is strong. The music, art direction, and combat keep me locked in.

Nintendo should really work with Atlus on getting a late port to the system. It is a good turn-based experience that will no doubt be fun to play on the couch with Joy-Cons separated as you lay back with your arms back in a relaxing position.
Persona 3: Reload
This one is a no-brainer. Persona 3: Reload was an excellent remake, with questionable choices on the DLC front. The Answer was a tear-jerking and brutal ride. But overall, it was a great touch-up on the classic that brought Atlus to the status they have now.

Nintendo Switch 2 users deserve a better version to play, as the Portable version is very limited and kills some key story moments. Atlus should get cracking on that port as soon as possible!
Persona 5: The Phantom X
While it is a free-to-play gacha game on phones and PC. Why wouldn’t Atlus want to take advantage of a new audience for a relatively new ongoing game? I have personally played just a little bit of the game, and feel like it is filled with endless potential to tap into. It even plays well on a controller on PC, and runs very well on my S24+. It should not be too hard for Atlus to achieve.

Nintendo has always used popular third-party live services, like Fortnite, and of course, the ever player-friendly Warframe. If Atlus tackles JRPGs for the Nintendo Switch 2? Persona 5: The Phantom X should be an exciting endeavor for Atlus.
Metaphor: ReFantazio
Obviously, this needs to happen. Metaphor: ReFantazio is the next evolution of Atlus games. Blending the Shin Megami Tensei combat system with the flair of a modern Persona game. Being able to experience a next-generation feeling medieval fantasy turn turn-based game on the go, or on the big screen at home, is a must for the Nintendo Switch 2 audience.

While there has not been confirmation of any of these 3 making it to the Nintendo Switch 2. It would behoove Atlus to not have these games available for this very exciting new console launch. With all of this being said, Atlus needs to get cracking on one more port before it’s too late.
Atlus, Please Make Persona 4: Revival for the Nintendo Switch 2
At the recent Microsoft Gaming showcase, Atlus revealed a very short teaser of the upcoming Persona 4: Revival. Persona 4 is very beloved by its community, and no doubt many of those players have Nintendo Switch 2s. It is currently only confirmed for the Xbox consoles, PlayStation 5, and Steam. But Atlus needs to make sure this remake is available to that audience. It would just not feel right otherwise.
But that has been 5 Atlus JRPGs that either need late ports, or confirmations of arrival on the exciting new Nintendo Switch 2 system.
