When it comes to Soulframe, there is a lot to learn as most of the game’s mechanics are very “touch and go”. Whether it is the crafting system and the various resources and fragments to find, or just unlocking your ancestors. The game does not hold your hand. But one of the very earliest things in the game you should understand is your character’s “Virtues” and how to make the most out of them.
What are Virtues in Soulframe?
Virtues are an attunement system, with three different choices:
- Courage.
- Spirit.
- And Grace.
Virtues, according to the Soulframe wiki, affect multiple elements of the game. For your abilities, Courage affects ability potency, Spirit increases the duration of abilities, while Grace helps with the stealthy side of gameplay and abilities. These attributes will seem very ambiguous, and you may not notice them while playing. But one of the only parts of Virtues that will be noticeable is how it affects your weapons.

When it comes to each weapon you acquire in the game, it will be attuned to one of the three Virtues. For example, if you are specced into Courage, and try to use the Bog & Myrtle. Your stats will look like this:

But if you spec fully into Grace, the damage will go up like you see below:

So, if you are using weapons and want them to feel more powerful, you should be attuning your Virtues to what you have equipped. I have not noticed the differences in the Virtues for abilities from Pacts. But given their intended passive, you should try to find a Pact whose abilities feel in line with your weapons attuned Virtue.
I hope this guide helps you to understand Virtues, Envoy. I just hope that Digital Extremes makes this system and its benefits clearer in the future.
