Soulframe: Founders Program FAQ Breakdown

Yesterday, Digital Extremes released a video featuring the CEO of the company, Steve Sinclair, and the Senior Community Manager, Sarah Asselin. This video was a formal FAQ from Digital Extremes regarding the upcoming Founders Program for Soulframe. Despite being previewed in the recent Devstream, there is, of course, still a lot to make clear before the program goes live. Below will be a short breakdown of the details from this FAQ video!

Current Founders Pack Details in Soulframe

Let’s first start with what we know about the Founders Program for Soulframe. The Founders Program will have a variety of packs to choose from, which will include the following:

  • Wyld (Prime) Pacts, the first to come to the game.
  • Armor Sets.
  • A “Paragon” Heavy Blade at the highest tier.
  • Sparrow Skins.
  • Premium Currency.
  • Transmog Consumables.
  • Codes to give people access to the game before it is made public.
  • A Flower to Plant in a location within Soulframe.
  • The ability to craft schematics for the heavy blade in the founders’ pack to trade with players at a later date. The crafted schematic will have your in-game name on it.
  • A Sword Skin to use in Warframe’s The Old Peace expansion.
Soulframe/Warframe Crossover Sword Skin.

With that in mind, here is what we learned in the FAQ.

Details from the FAQ Video

  • The Founders Program will go live on the 25th, alongside the Preludes 12 update for Soulframe.
  • Players will be notified when the program will end ahead of time to ensure FOMO is not a factor.
  • The Founders Program will have a rerun on consoles when it is ported to current-generation hardware.
  • Upgrade costs in the Founders Packs will be lower per upgrade to ensure the program is economy-friendly.
  • No confirmation on gifting for Founders Packs.
  • The Wyld Pacts will have extra mechanics that rely on the Smite/Soul Steal Mechanic to make these Pacts stand out.
  • The Paragon Heavy Blade will only be craftable by Founders after the program ends. They are also looking into future-proofing it against power creep to ensure it does not lose its edge (pun intended).

Other details about things they are looking into as well include:

  • Bestitching (Transmog) will one day work on weapons.
  • Zenith, or the “Capitalism Camel,” will not have in-game currency conversion, as shown in the Devstream, Digital Extremes stated that what was shown was just placeholders.
  • They are also looking into increasing weapon and pact slots for new players so they do not feel pressured to buy the premium currency to carry more in their inventory.
  • There will be no account resets, especially after the Founders Program goes live.

Currently, there is no pricing on the Founders Packs at this time. But we at Lords of Gaming will be giving a comprehensive breakdown on whether you should invest in one and which one to go for when the program goes live next week. Just be sure to visit their official Founders webpage here when the program goes live to see if anything catches your eye ahead of time!
