Life is Strange: Reunion Set to Launch in March
Square Enix has officially unveiled Life Is Strange: Reunion, a full-length narrative adventure that serves as the emotional conclusion to the story of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price. Announced during a dedicated livestream, the game is set to launch on March 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Developed by Deck Nine Games, Life Is Strange: Reunion marks a long-awaited return to the series’ most iconic duo, nearly 11 years after their story first began.
A Return to Caledon — And a Tragedy in Motion
The story brings players back to Caledon University, where Max Caulfield is now working as a photography teacher. What begins as a routine return from a weekend away quickly turns catastrophic when Max arrives to find the campus consumed by a massive inferno.
Friends, students, and faculty lose their lives in the blaze—and Max survives only because her Rewind ability resurfaces, allowing her to escape moments before disaster strikes.
Using a selfie as her anchor point in time, Max jumps back three days, racing to uncover how the fire started and whether the tragedy can be prevented.
Chloe Price Reenters the Timeline
The emotional stakes escalate when Chloe Price unexpectedly arrives at Caledon. Her return is a direct consequence of the timeline merge at the end of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, leaving Chloe haunted by memories of a life she never lived.
Plagued by nightmares and struggling to hold onto reality, Chloe turns to Max for help. This reunites the pair in a story shaped by grief, guilt, and unresolved bonds.

Dual Protagonists, Dual Perspectives
For the first time in the series, players can control both Max and Chloe, switching between perspectives as the story unfolds. Each character brings unique mechanics to the experience.
Max Caulfield:
- Rewind time to undo and redo decisions
- Manipulate conversations and environments
- Solve layered, four-dimensional puzzles
Chloe Price:
- Use her Backtalk ability to influence suspects
- Leverage her sharp instincts and bold attitude
- Access areas and confrontations, Max cannot
These dual playstyles reinforce the narrative themes while opening new approaches to problem-solving and character interaction.
A Narrative Finale for the Saga
Life Is Strange: Reunion builds on the grounded, character-driven storytelling the series is known for. Player choices once again shape relationships, outcomes, and the direction of the story. In return, culminating in what Square Enix describes as an epic climax designed to close the book on Max and Chloe’s journey. This is positioned not as a soft continuation, but as a true narrative endpoint for their saga.
