Lunar New Year in Warframe (and a Vauban Rework) is Now Available in Warframe

Following the massively successful release of The Old Peace last year, Digital Extremes has started 2026 strong for their community. Whether it was their recent Devstream or yesterday’s update, which included quite a bit of new content for the game, they are already gearing up for yet another fantastic year for Warframe. This recent update for the game launched with some cool cosmetics and a light rework for the Vauban warframe. Here is everything you need to know about the update before jumping in!

Everything You Can Expect in The Lunar New Year Update in Warframe

For starters, let’s get the most impactful part of the update out of the way. Vauban’s Heirloom skin is now available for purchase in the game. You can either buy it with money and get a bundle including a new signa, sigil, and Prex card alongside platinum (the game’s premium currency) or just buy what you want with platinum, which I have already taken myself up on.

But not only did Vauban get a premium heirloom skin, but he also got a light rework or “retouch,” as they put it. However, it does not sound like an Ash-styled touch-up; it is very beefy (which makes me hope that Ash could get more love next time). In their latest Dev Workshop here, you can find all of the details about it!

Secondly, it is the Year of the Horse in the Chinese Calendar, and as such, Dagath, the deadly horse warframe, got a premium skin to celebrate. There is a premium skin for Kaithe’s as well as new glyphs, sigils, and a new emblem when Baro Ki’teer arrives on the 20th.

Alongside all of this are a few more touchups to the game. Including a pack of new floofs for The Devils Triad, and some changes, such as:

  • The Digital Extremes logo pops up when you log in.
  • The Old Peace is now replayable, and when you log back in, you will get a free flower decoration that shows the players who helped you in the quest.

But that is just the notable bits you can expect from yesterdays update in Warframe. The update is free and should only take a few gigabytes of space to download.
