What is He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction?

On Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction battles onto Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC|Steam. This collaboration between developer and retro specialist Bitmap Bureau and IP holder Mattel along with Limited Run Games is available digitally on Masters of the Universe Day.

Eternia is in peril! He-Man and his friends are the only ones who can save it!

Skeletor has discovered the titular Dragon Pearl of Destruction, a relic of unspeakable power. He plans to perform a ritual with Evil-Lyn to plunge Eternia into eternal darkness. It’s up to you to stop him and save all of Eternia.

By the Power of Grayskull, YOU Have the Power!

Play as the Masters of the Universe: He-Man, Man-at-Arms, and Teela as you fight the iconic forces of evil, including Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Trap Jaw, their minions, and other enemies like Shokoti and the Shadow Beasts. She-Ra becomes an additional playable character in future playthroughs. And even Battle Cat will join you in defending Castle Grayskull and the rest of Eternia from Skeletor’s dark ambitions.

Each Hero has a unique playstyle, set of moves and screen-clearing powers. You will control your favorite Master of the Universe team member solo or in local, two-player co-op. The game takes you across 12 action-packed levels throughout Eternia. This includes the Royal Palace, the Vine Jungle, and the dark corridors of Snake Mountain.

The whole experience is beautifully animated in the retro beat ’em up style with modern quality. It will feel like you’re controlling the action right out of the original 1980’s show in many of its most iconic locations, brought to life in stunning detail.
