Xbox Game Pass March 2026 — Cyberpunk and RPG Powerhouses Anchor a Solid Month

March 2026 brings a different flavor to Xbox Game Pass compared to February’s day-one bonanza. While the month is noticeably lighter on day-one releases, it compensates by adding some of the best modern games available to the service. From Cyberpunk 2077 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II to Disco Elysium and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, March transforms Game Pass into a destination for acclaimed RPG experiences. It may not match February’s sheer volume of new releases, but the quality of what’s here makes March 2026 a strong month in its own right.

Wave 1: The Headliners

Cyberpunk 2077 (March 10)

Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium

CD Projekt Red’s sprawling open-world RPG finally arrives on Xbox Game Pass. Become V, a cyberpunk-for-hire navigating the dark future of Night City as you build your reputation in this dystopian metropolis. After a rocky launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has transformed into one of the generation’s most ambitious RPGs through extensive updates and the outstanding Phantom Liberty expansion. With its dense world-building, branching narratives, and countless ways to approach missions, this represents one of the biggest backlog additions of the year so far.

However, it’s worth noting that this is just the base game—Phantom Liberty is not included. Coming off The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition dropping last month with all DLC, it feels like a missed opportunity not to include Cyberpunk‘s excellent expansion to give subscribers the full experience.

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf (March 5)

Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass

The sequel to the acclaimed cinematic platformer arrives day one on Xbox Game Pass. Join Lana and her loyal companion Mui in an unforgettable sci-fi adventure as they solve clever puzzles, uncover hidden secrets, and confront the dangers reshaping their home. This breathtaking platformer challenges your mind, stirs your heart, and dazzles your senses with gorgeous visuals and atmospheric sound design. For fans of games like Inside or Limbo, this is essential playing.

Minishoots’ Adventures (March 3)

Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass

Here’s an odd one: Minishoots’ Adventures shadow dropped on Xbox and Game Pass on March 3rd but wasn’t included in the official wave announcement for some inexplicable reason. This twin-stick shooter metroidvania hybrid offers charming pixel art aesthetics and engaging gameplay that blends bullet-hell action with exploration-focused progression. It’s a delightful surprise addition, even if Xbox’s communication around it was puzzling.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (March 24)

Like a Dragon Kiryu Kasuga

The latest entry in the beloved Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) series finally arrives on Game Pass—better late than never. Two larger-than-life heroes, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu, are brought together by the hand of fate or perhaps something more sinister. Live it up in Japan and explore all that Hawaii has to offer in an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific. This is a massive addition that many subscribers have been waiting for.

This title combines top-of-the-class beat ’em up action with modern roguelite elements in a beautifully handcrafted setting. Embark on a perilous quest to free the world of Talamh from the tyranny of Sun King Azra and experience all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past. It’s a solid addition that bridges the gap between retro sensibilities and modern design.

Nova Roma (Game Preview) (March 26)

The wave’s sole day-one release, Nova Roma arrives in Game Preview on PC only. As the once-great Roman Empire falls into decadence and decay, you lead citizens in search of new lands, hoping to build Nova Roma. Starting from a humble village, you must appease the gods with grand temples, sate your citizens’ needs, and build a society that will be the envy of the world. For fans of city builders and historical strategy, this offers a promising early access experience.

Final Thoughts — Quality Over Quantity

March 2026 doesn’t match February’s explosive day-one volume. Across both waves, the month delivers only three day-one releases: Planet of Lana II, Minishoots’ Adventures, and Nova Roma (in Game Preview). That’s a significant drop from February’s seven, and it shows.

However, what March lacks in day-one releases, it compensates for in sheer quality. The month transforms Xbox Game Pass into a showcase for some of the best modern RPGs available. Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Disco Elysium, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are all powerhouse titles that would individually justify a month’s subscription. Adding Resident Evil 7: Biohazard alongside the already-available Resident Evil Village creates a compelling horror double feature.

The Cyberpunk 2077 base game vs. Complete Edition debate aside, the overall selection represents tremendous value. Disco Elysium is one of the most celebrated RPGs in recent memory. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth feels overdue but delivers one of the year’s best RPGs. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II‘s GOTY nomination speaks for itself. Even Absolum arrives fresh enough to feel relevant.

March proves that Game Pass value doesn’t always need to come from day-one releases. For anyone looking to catch up on acclaimed titles they missed or explore genre-defining experiences, March offers a grand assortment. It’s a month that prioritizes depth and quality over breadth and quantity.

The reality is that both approaches have merit. February’s aggressive day-one strategy built momentum. March’s focus on modern classics demonstrates another path to value. Ideally, Game Pass would consistently deliver both; let’s hope we start to see that more going forward.
