Insomniac Games was on fire at the PS5 reveal event showcasing Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. It has been four years since the remake of the original Ratchet and Clank to coincide with the release of the film with the same name. Since then, Insomniac has gone on to work on several VR games, but most notably they developed the smash hit Marvel’s Spider-Man and also revealed Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
An extensive gameplay clip was shown in addition to the cinematic trailer. The series traditional over the top weaponry was on full display as were the Pixar quality visuals. Ray tracing was confirmed for the title. No release date was shown, but given Miles Morales coming this fall, don’t expect to see Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart until next year at the earliest.
