The follow up to 1992’s Wave Race for the Game Boy currently sits at a 92 on the review aggregate website, Metacritic. Previously, the wave-runner racer launched on Wii U’s Virtual Console in 2016. Maybe some day, we’ll see Wave Race come to Switch Online. if the rumors of Game Boy games coming to the service are to be believed.
Nintendo’s slow rollout of games for their online service has hit a nice stride. Last month, Pokémon Puzzle League made its way to the platform. The month before that, Pokémon Snap arrived for Expansion Pack members. Now Wave Race 64?! At this rate, I wonder what will come to the service next. I can’t help but compare this pace to what Sony has been doing with PlayStation Plus Premium‘s near stagnate PS1 releases.
