Capcom Shines a Light on Upcoming Releases in March Showcase
Capcom shines a light on upcoming releases in a brand-new March 2023 showcase featuring gaming titans such as Street Fighter and Resident Evil. The showcase focuses on games that have already been announced, so don’t be disappointed by the lack of show-stopping surprises.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection
After more than a decade, Mega Man Battle Network returns in a massive collection featuring a total of 10 mainline games. The collection comes with some digital goodies. Including 499 cards previously only available in Japan that players can use in the game or trade with friends online. Online features also include a 1v1 NetBattle mode. The collection will also introduce a Buster MAX difficulty mode that tones down the challenge of combat to allow players the ability to just sit back and enjoy the story.
Furthermore, the English version of the Battle Network anime, known as Mega Man NT Warrior, will be available to watch for free for a limited time. A marathon of seasons 1 and 2 will be held on Capcom USA’s Twitch channel, starting March 21st, 2023.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Steam from April 14th, 2023.

Street Fighter 6 is set to launch June 2nd, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Steam.
Capcom Announces 40th Anniversary Plans During March Spotlight
To celebrate their momentous 40th anniversary, Capcom has announced a digital theme park of sorts called Capcom Town. The digital park will showcase the company’s illustrious past through a collection of digital constructs such as a museum and other attractions yet to be revealed. A link to the teaser for the digital park was shown but doesn’t seem to work as of now.
Capcom Town will open its doors on June 12th, 2023.
Exoprimal
Trailers continue with an extended look at the story of the upcoming hi-tech dino-battler Exoprimal. Despite hinting at a complex story full of time travel and intrigue, Exoprimal seems to be focusing on online play. This latest trailer unveils a beefy battle pass and establishes an always-online requirement. While online only is a controversial decision, the game is looking to be heaps of fun. Should players desire a taste of the game’s dino-smiting combat they can take part in the cross-platform open beta test that runs from March 17th-March 19th.
Exoprimal releases on July 14th, 2023, on Windows, Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Xbox GamePass for Console, PC, and Cloud.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
From the mind of Ace Attorney creator, Shu Takumi, comes a brand-new version of the cult-classic mystery game, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.
Play as the amnesiac soul of the unfortunate Sissel and solve the mystery of your own murder. Possess objects in the world around you to solve environmental puzzles and save others from the same fate as you. Successfully changing their fate will change the story and help you in your investigation.
This improved port includes updated high-res graphics, increased frame rate, and an optimized user interface for modern hardware. Additionally, the game features a plethora of fun little things to engage with, including a puzzle-based minigame that offers new illustrations as a reward.
Yasumasa Kitagawa of Ace Attorney fame steps in to deliver all-new arrangements for the original soundtrack. Masakazu Sugimori also returns with new songs made exclusively for this version of the game. All 37 tracks can be switched between their original and new counterparts whenever the player wishes.
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will release on June 30th, 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
Previously only available on Steam, the expansion to Monster Hunter Rise finally makes its way to other platforms.
Sunbreak expands on the base game with a collection of new locales, new weapons, new armor, and, of course, new monsters. Veteran fan favorites such as the sinister Gore Magala from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate make a terrifying return. Putting hunters to the test in challenging Master Rank quests.
For those wishing to catch up before the release, a free armor DLC for beginner players will be available in the base game from March 10th. Additionally, a digital event will be held in April to share the latest info about the next free title update.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will release on April 28th, 2023 on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4, PS5, and Windows.
Resident Evil 4
The wait for the highly anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 is nearly over. Capcom has been stringing players along for the past nine months with bite-sized chunks. Cultivating a fierce appetite among the player base. Hungry players can get their first taste of the game today with a short demo titled “Chainsaw Demo” which covers the iconic opening of the game.
Acting as a vertical slice of the full title, players will be able to experiment with the all-new stealth and parry mechanics and get a general feel for the remake’s new direction. The question of tone and execution has been prevalent in the minds of many, so hopefully this demo will set some folk at ease.
Thankfully, Capcom has decided to abandon the limited-time gimmick that plagued the demos of previous entries. Such as Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil: Village. The new Chainsaw Demo will allow an uninhibited look at the new game and is free to replay as many times as you wish.
Resident Evil 4 will release on March 24th, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Steam.
