2023 is filled with a variety of different remakes and remasters of classic games. To kick off this year we saw Dead Space get a fantastic remake from EA Motive, which brought the survival horror franchise to the present. With other remakes coming in the near future such as Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 Remake. There are plenty of classic horror games to be excited about in 2023. However, one might not be as anticipated as Resident Evil 4 Remake. Now thanks to a reveal from Capcom, we will be able to play the upcoming title in the Resident Evil 4 Demo.
It was revealed during the Capcom Spotlight showcase, that the upcoming horror remake would be getting a demo. This has become standard with Capcom’s remakes of this iconic franchise as both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 had demos in the lead-up to their release. The new demo features a specifically crafted section of the game’s opening sequence with its completely reworked graphics and controls. Unlike previous Resident Evil demos, there is no time limit, and it can be completed as many times as the player wishes to play it. This new demo is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam, and I highly recommend checking this out if you are on the fence about the upcoming remake.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is set to release on March 24th, 2023 for Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 & 5 as well as PC. There is still no official word if this title will come to Xbox One at a later date or if the game will not be released on the older generation Xbox consoles. We will keep our eyes peeled for any information in regard to an Xbox One version of this title.
