Everything Shown at the Level-5 Vision 2023 Showcase
Cult-classic studio, Level-5, showcased a healthy spread of trailers in their brand-new Level-5 VISION 2023 presentation. The presentation features a look at flagship series, Professor Layton, as well as a glimpse of several other exciting new titles coming soon. Perhaps most significant was their pride in announcing that every featured title would be released worldwide.
DECAPOLICE
Opening the presentation was a stylish trailer for Level-5’s fresh IP, DECAPOLICE. Take to the virtual streets of DECASIM as rookie detective, Harvard Marks, and solve deadly cases.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of the investigative process used to solve troubling cases. Investigate the crime scene, search for evidence, and interview witnesses to form an idea of what happened. Take that information and analyze it on the board in a sequence known as the “reasoning phase”. Map out relationships and reveal the truth behind the incident, then confront the culprit.
The trailer also introduces your trusty team, as well as offers a glimpse at the range of villains you’ll be up against, including a serial killer known as “the Clown”. Deploy your team in turn-based combat reminiscent of Level-5’s flagship title, Ni No Kuni, and apprehend the suspect. You can also take a non-violent approach to combat by appealing to the criminal’s own mind.
DECAPOLICE launches in 2023 on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
