A source from a Best Buy retail outlet has confirmed to Lords of Gaming that a large round of layoffs are hitting the company today.
An employee at a Wisconsin Best Buy has informed us that a round of layoffs are hitting the company after a month of short staffing.
We’ve been short staff(ed) for over a month now with al employees over worked and doing four or five jobs at once.
This has been corroborated by users on r/Bestbuy where a copy of the severance notice below was posted. User u/milkjug7 was a Full-time product flow employee prior to receiving the notice. We expect to hear more about these Best Buy layoffs in the coming hours. Whether this is due to the pandemic or larger issues with the Best Buy company is unknown at this time.
