Don’t Miss Momodora: Moonlit Farewell
On August 31st, Bombservice released a gameplay reveal trailer for their upcoming title Momodora: Moonlit Farewell. A story sequel to the third entry of the series and will be the final game in the series. This reveal comes two years after the release of their previous title Minoria.
Momodora: Moonlit Farewell – A Thrilling Farewell
This last entry for the Momodora game series will be taking the pixelated art style of Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, as opposed to the 2.5D style of their recent title Minoria. However, as the trailer didn’t specify a release date for the game, it did show off many details for the upcoming game. Such as the classic side-scrolling and platforming elements used in all of their Metroidvania-styled games. As well as plenty of interesting bosses and various NPC’s. Ranging from royalty, past characters, and more.
The Momodora and Minoria games were always difficult, so don’t expect this upcoming title to take it easy on you. The combat is simple to understand, but enemies and bosses are tough to deal with. Though they lack a cinematic storytelling approach, instead the games rely on the ambiance of their levels to sell the setting. Like, Minoria being set in a bloodstained cathedral. While Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight taking place partly in a gothic kingdom, with segments in a spooky forest.
Fans of Metroidvanias and challenging games should definitely be excited for the upcoming Momodora: Moonlit Farewell. Naturally, those who liked developer Bombservice’s previous games will likely enjoy the next Momodora entry. At the time of writing, Reverie Under the Moonlight is currently $3.99 on sale at Steam. But the game retails for $9.99 on all other platforms.
