When the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima got revealed, many expected it to be like other PlayStation PC ports. Graphical options and the options expected from PC releases were a given. In addition, the quality of the port is seemingly assured due to Nixxies great work in the past.

As of this writing, PlayStation revealed new information on the project. Including the first proper Cross-Platform implementation with PlayStation’s ecosystem.

Similar to the Xbox overlay that can be enabled when playing games on PC, PlayStation is launching one of their own.

Ghost of Tsushima PC Trophies

When signed into your PlayStation Network account, you can access everything in your profile. Friends List, Trophies earned and more can be seen on PC.

Supporting this is the fact Ghost of Tsushima: Directors Cut will be the first PlayStation PC game with trophy support. This is a huge deal and a step in the direction Xbox has taken in recent years. Many games in the Xbox ecosystem support achievements on PC via PC Game Pass and the Microsoft Store on PC.

The possibility of other PlayStation PC release, such as Spider-Man: Remastered and God of War, getting PC Trophy support in the future.

PC Specs Revealed

PlayStation also revealed the specs required to run Ghost of Tsushima: Directors Cut on PC. They can be found on the PlayStation Blog, supporting up to native 4K at 60FPS depending on your set up.

It is worth noting that an SSD is required for medium settings and upward, with only the Low Settings supporting HDD’s.

Overall Thoughts

Seeing PlayStation take PC support this seriously is amazing to see. There is a concern of them abandoning their platform or be distracted bring their content elsewhere, something their rival is trying to balance currently.

But in order to get profits needed for the huge experience PlayStation is typically known for, they need to bring their content to other places. And if you are doing so, make sure it’s a great experience for new players.
