The War Expands – Fallout Collaboration with Call of Duty (Rumor)

With the major success of the Fallout franchise, bolstered by the TV show and the game series, it was only a matter of time before the franchise crossed over with something.

The franchise is no stranger to some crossovers, with Vault Boy being a DLC Mii Gunner costume for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. But it seems the franchise is going to be crossing over with Call of Duty in the future.

Entering the Warzone – Call of Duty X Fallout Crossover

Discovered by major Call of Duty insider CharlieIntel, a crossover cosmetic will be coming to the now currently-owned Microsoft franchise.

Regarding what the crossover content will look like, that wasn’t found in the data-mine. We will update this story as it develops.

Overall Thoughts

As somebody who is a Call of Duty casual, I find this potential crossover as a brilliant marketing move. The impact of the Fallout TV series is huge.

The game series itself getting a major spike in sales only incentivizes Microsoft to look to spread the brand across its other IPs. Collaborations with Sea of Thieves and Minecraft would be something worth looking into too. Especially considering the former’s successful launch on PlayStation and the latter being a huge brand across all platforms.

The collaboration itself seemingly will only be a cosmetic outfit but with how brutal Call of Duty can get, the violence usually seen in Fallout is a perfect match. Gun skins inspired by iconic Fallout weapons, a Vault Boy gun-tag and the skins themselves being something special.

Imagine being able to use both the Lucy or the Ghoul’s outfit? A suit of Power Armor with a particularly bloody finisher? Or even a Vault Boy costume? Lots of options for the Call of Duty team to consider for sure.

But will you all enter the Warzone, ensuring the war never changes? Let us know in the comments below!
