As pop culture’s biggest anime, Dragon Ball returns to New York Comic Con. Several exciting updates were there for fans of the legendary anime series.
NYCC 2026 offered sneak peeks at Dragon Ball Super: Beerus and a playable demo for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3!
God Killer – Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Trailer & Sneak Peek

The NYCC Dragon Ball Super panel surprised fans with an extensive look at the new Dragon Ball Super: Beerus series. Adapting the original Beerus storyline from the original run of Super, the new series includes additional scenes and updated animation.
As of this writing, the first episode is out now. However, attendees were given an early viewing of the first episode. Watching his raw strength after devastating half a planet, contrasted with his aloof, almost comedic personality, presents Beerus as a unique threat to Goku.
Protecting the Future – Xenoverse 3 Demo Impressions
Alongside the anime-focused panel, demo stations for the upcoming Xenoverse 3 were playable at the Dragon Ball NYCC booth.
Combat is classic 3D Dragon Ball, with players alternating between ground and aerial combat. It feels close to the 3D Budokai titles, though a more apt comparison is the previous Xenoverse games. The main difference is that you aren’t engaging only in one-on-one battles. Players will work alongside three other players or AI allies to take down groups of bad guys.
What surprised me was the light RPG systems, with leveling systems and what clearly seems to be player skill and loadout options. These were in previous Xenoverse games, but as a newcomer to the series, it was enjoyable seeing how these elements enhanced battles.
The demo ended with a battle against Bolly in his Super Form, offering a fun challenge that tested everything I’ve learned up to that point. Overall, I’m eager to learn more about Xenoverse 3 when it launches on PS5, Series X/S, and PC in Spring 2027.
Going Super! – Visiting the Dragon Ball Booth
Concluding my time with the world of Dragon Ball, I visited its huge booth. It’s always a highlight at every Comic Con, with impressive figures and fun photo opportunities.
Below are some photos I took of the booth. Here’s to another year of awesome Dragon Ball content!
