To celebrate TMNT during the busy NYCC 2026 weekend, Splinter and Sons Bodega works with Paramount to create a fun pop-up event! Fittingly, in the turtles’ home of NYC, fun gaming and awesome Ninja Turtles-themed merch were at the pop-up.
I had a blast honoring one of my favorite franchises. Here are my impressions of the Bodega and Son’s TMNT pop-up event!

Pizza Parties – Pop-Up Highlights
Walking inside the pop-up, I was charmed by the props themed on the series: mutagen-themed bleach bottles, Shredder paper towels, and fake candy based on the characters stood out.
As I walked further into the venue, books and toys could be purchased. The graphic novels, like Last Ronin and collections for the IDW Ninja Turtles books, were a highlight. Shirts, keychains, and more were present too.

For the Baby Turtles – Things for Children
It wasn’t just merch and clothing for us older TMNT fans to engage with. Kid-friendly books based on the Mutant Mayhem iteration of the characters, alongside sippy cups and lunch boxes based on the 90s series, allowed parents to buy something for the little ones while reliving their own childhoods.
As someone in the education field myself, I love seeing the kiddos I work with come to school with Sonic, Mario, and TMNT stuff on their clothes and lunchboxes, showing that my childhood is being shared with the newest generations.
Ninja Power – Playable Games

What if you just wanted to play a few games instead? The most recent TMNT games, like Splintered Fate and Shredder’s Revenge, had awesome arcade-themed stations. Joining those experiences were a pinball table themed around the IDW Turtles, a foosball table based on the 2010 Turtles, and a few more.
With enough space for each station, everyone who went had fun with an iconic TMNT gaming experience. It was awesome seeing younger gamers play the Cowabunga Collection.

To round out my time at the pop-up, here’s a video tour of the venue. It’s always a good time for Turtle Power in NYC!
