When starting Fallout 76, all new players can start at level 20. This was updated in a patch back in July last year. This allows players to get a bit of a head start and enjoy all of the new content that has been added to the game. One such quest is the one for the Brotherhood of Steel. The Brotherhood of Steel questline is available to all players and is very lengthy with awesome rewards. But should you start the quest immediately at level 20? Well, the answer is no, you should not and here is why.
Recommended Level of Brotherhood of Steel Quest in Fallout 76
The reason you should not start this quest immediately, is because it will reward you with a set of power armor. When you complete the full questline, you will get the Hellcat power armor set which is reportedly one of the best armor sets in the game. Senior community manager of Lords of Gaming, Ty Tano, completed the quest at level 30 and discovered it is best to earn this set at level 50 or higher in Fallout 76. This is due to the innate stats. As well as by that point you will have plenty of fusion cores and repair kits to fix up the power armor and use it extensively.
But how do you get started if you are at level 50 or higher? Well, go to your radio stations in your Pipboy and choose the above signal. Listening to the full broadcast will progress the quest and lead you to Fort Atlus.
From there you will be in for quite a ride. Until you reach level 50, I recommend doing the Faction questlines and Overseer main quest. This will take you to many locations and net you some awesome weaponry. While also honing your skills. You may even stumble upon one of the various optional Vaults in the game.
But this is the recommended level for the Brotherhood of Steel questline in Fallout 76, I hope you enjoy the grind and the questline when you get to it!
