PAX East 2023 may be over, but the Lords from the Iron Lords Podcast and LOGNET were live on the show floor. One of the many games being previewed on the show floor this year was Wrestle Story. We got a chance to interview one of the developers from Tic Toc Games to tell us all about the game. Check out the full interview below.

Exclusive Wrestle Story Interview at Pax East 2023

Wrestle Story is a turn-based wrestling RPG that pays tribute to old-school RPGs such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, and Paper Mario.

In the game, you create your own wrestler and go out and try to make a name for yourself. Expect a lot of craziness along the way. Players can expect all of the tropes typically found in turn-based RPGs. This includes different characters with unique skills and skill trees. Of course, there will be unlockable movesets and gear.

The game features 3D cel-shaded graphics and art style that looks like it was pulled straight from a Saturday morning cartoon.

Wrestle Story also features action command-based combat. If you’re familiar with the Paper Mario series or South Park: The Stick of Truth, where you time out your attacks to dish out extra damage. This will help keep the turn-based combat dynamic and engaging.

The Lords are in the Ring and WrestleQuest Assumes the Heel Role

Of course, it would not be pro-wrestling without a heel. The Lords got into the ring with Mega Cat Studios, the developers of WrestleQuest, where they quickly became the heel to Wrestle Story heel in this wrestling game drama. Be sure to check out our interview with the developers of WrestleQuest along with wrestling legend Jeff Jarret right here.

Currently, Wrestle Story is slated to release on Steam and there is no information on when players can expect to get their hands on the game. But be sure to wishlist it on Steam to keep up with all the latest updates and progress.
