Naraka: Bladepoint Goes Free-to-Play

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT

Battle Royales quickly dominated the gaming space since their debut. Fortnite itself sits as one of the most popular games worldwide. Subsequently, other titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone have sought to incorporate the genre. NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is a unique Battle Royale that relies on melee combat with martial weapons rather than guns or ranged weaponry. Today, 24 Entertainment (Developer Studio) celebrates the game’s anniversary and the promise of free-to-play. Furthermore, a new in-game collaboration with a popular content creator is coming soon.

NARAKA: Bladepoint was first released on August 12, 2021, for PC. The title came to console platforms one year later. However, 24 Entertainment is eliminating the price of entry by going free-to-play on July 13. Live-service games often employ a free-to-play model especially those within the Battle Royale genre.

Previously, Xbox Game Pass subscribers gained access at no additional cost once NARAKA landed on consoles. Now, the game is far more accessible to a larger audience. This could certainly aid in bolstering the player base especially compared to other titles in the genre. NARAKA: Bladepoint utilizes its environment and weapons in a more tactile fashion. Furthermore, the game touts beautiful art styles and thematics derived from Eastern cultures.

Shine On

That is not all. The developers have also released a trailer showcasing the collaboration between NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and Maximilian Dood. Max is a popular content creator on Youtube and Twitch best known for his work in the Fighting Game Community, YO Videogames content, and his passion for video games and all things Final Fantasy.

The collaboration showcases Max within the world of Naraka along with his best friend, Benny. Players can obtain his look with the “Fighting Spirit Max” legendary outfit. Additionally, a new kill announcement and bubble arrive with the collaboration. You can celebrate Maximilian Dood and the wonderful life of Benny starting on July 13.

Sharpen your blades and prepare your squad for July 13. The world of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is teeming with potential with its second-year anniversary. Check out the official FAQ for more information including details on crossplay and rewards for existing players. Shine on.
