Chalk it up to a lesson in not letting speculation run amok. Capcom’s Resident Evil tease from yesterday was just an update to their website.
Fans speculated a new game or a remake, but Capcom simply added information about Resident Evil and some of its sequels to the franchise’s dedicated website. This update took the wind out of our sails but there’s still the countdown timer on the Capcom website.
However, we can expect another update to the website on February 22, 2022. Maybe we collectively taper our expectations next time.
