8-Bit Adventures 2 is Out Now

2 minutes read

8 Bit Adventures 2 from Critical Games AU is finally out on PC. The retro-styled turn-based RPG is a very meaty package with a focus on linearity instead of grind. It has a long story that is paced excellently between regular monster fights and bosses. As well as characters that all have unique personalities and writing for each other. Giving the game a flavor of its own despite its obvious influences. Here is everything you need to know about the game. Especially its price, file size, and more!

What you need to know about 8 Bit Adventures 2

Firstly, 8 Bit Adventures 2 is a sequel that requires no prior knowledge of the original title. There are some references to it, but nothing that feels confusing. The story outside of that feels very urgent but gives the characters and player time to breathe between story moments. But it is not just a straight line. After a while, you will get to explore a content-rich world with so much to explore and do.

Every character can be fully customized from normal equipment to augments and you get to swap them out in the middle of combat to match foes you fight most of the time. Every location is also very varied to make sure nothing feels or looks redundant. The game will on average be about 30-40 hours of content which is more than appropriate for its asking price.

The game is available on Steam and GoG right now for $19.99. With an at-launch discount to $17.99 for now. Its file is less than a gigabyte as well. If you are unsure if the game is for you, there is also a demo you can play right now. But if you would like some thoughts on the demo, we at Lords of Gaming have your back on impressions you can read here. As well as a full review of the game, thanks to the developer. If you would like to learn more about the game and its development team, we also have an interview diving into the game’s inspirations and origins!
