Final Fantasy XVI Breaks 3 Million

This summer is full of blockbuster hits for gamers. Consumers have a variety to pick from no matter their taste. Square Enix themselves successfully launched a new title to a beloved franchise. Furthermore, Final Fantasy XVI breaks 3 million sales in less than a week. This news comes amidst already glowing reviews.

Flying High

Final Fantasy XVI launched on June 22nd. It currently sits at an impressive 88 score on Metacritic. Additionally, the game broke 3 million sales within six days of debuting. This is highly impressive when the game is only available on PlayStation 5 at the time of writing.

Subsequently, Final Fantasy XV sold 5 million copies on its release day. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy VII: Remake surpassed 3.5 million within three days. However, the former was released on multiple platforms and the latter was an already established and beloved quantity.

Fans continue to spread praise for Final Fantasy XVI. Yoshi-P (Producer) and the rest of the team at Creative Business Unit III created an amazing title unique to the franchise.
