Back in January, when Palworld initially launched, it broke the internet in a lot of ways. From high-ranking game developers shamefully attacking the title, and others making false accusations over the developers using AI. To the game selling a phenomenal 15 million copies in its first month and earning the 2nd most concurrent player counts on Steam. It was a game by a very small development team that went beyond viral and made history.
But as the months went on, Pocket Pair, the developers of Palworld were heads down mostly fixing problems with the game, causing it to lose its momentum. However, they were also working on its first free major content drop, the Sakurajima Update. Originally revealed during Summer Games Fest, Pocket Pair showcased a vibrant and beautiful new island. Details on the Sakurajima Update for Palworld
This new update features a new island called Sakurajima. This new island will be teeming with new pals, locations, bosses, and a new faction called “The Moonflowers”. It also adds the Arena, a place where you can fight other players in multiplayer. The Player and Pal level caps have been raised to level 55. As well as a new stronghold on an Oil Rig, and a new Hard Mode for Tower bosses in Palworld. There are also new weapons in this update, like the Laser Rifle, Gatling gun and even a flamethrower.

Despite the Tweet saying the update is only available on Steam. It was just released last night on Xbox consoles and is only a 4.5 gigabyte sized update.
