Warframe: Lavos Prime Build and Review

When I got back into Warframe in 2021 after a couple year break, I earned the original Lavos and was not impressed with him back then. Admittedly, I was still getting into the swing of things again, but I felt bad for feeding him to the Helminth. Which makes this review of Lavos Prime all the sweeter. Lavos Prime has slithered his way into my heart and found a permanent spot in my roster. But before we get into all of my feelings about him as a fresh-faced Lavos player. Let us go into an all-purpose build with some interesting and fun twists!

Lavos Prime Build in Warframe

Below will be the build I have been using, you will need one normal forma, and three Umbra forma:

If you do not have the Umbra forma, I advise using the normal variations of the mods instead. Same goes for Primed Continuity. For starters, considering Lavos does not use energy, do not worry about efficiency for your build. Stacking all of your chips into strength, and duration with some range besides is what I landed on. Arcane Bellicose from Warframe: 1999 and Arcane Grace (which you can get right now from Belly in the Beast), is essential for survivability and more power strength additions. Valence Formation will also ensure you get a crazy boost of damage if you use Cedo and Dual Zoren Prime in your loadout.

Below will be the Archon Shard setup I went with:

Obviously, these are for flavor, so you can choose to stack more health, or more power strength if need be. But I do recommend using an emerald shard for more Corrosive stacks for better armor strip with his elemental concoctions. For the Helminth subsume, I went with Mirage’s Eclipse for either the incoming damage reduction or outgoing damage increase.

Lavos Prime Review

As stated before, I have not really used Lavos as a longtime player. But Lavos Prime gave me a second chance to understand why people liked him in Warframe. He is very tanky, can output crazy damage and overall has a very fun kit to play around with. My only complaint with him is the general clunkiness to use a good element, like Gas, Corrosive or even Radiation if you need it with Valence Formation.

Overall, Lavos Prime is incredible, I liked the extra polarity, the boost in stats and just the general fun factor of his kit. I do highly recommend going out and either farming for him or acquiring him through trade with other players (just keep an eye on the prices!)
