During Devshorts 70 yesterday, the Creative Director of Warframe, Rebecca Ford, announced during the stream that a very long-awaited event is finally returning to the game. On September 10th, Operation Plague Star, the Plains of Eidolon infested event, is coming back after being requested to return for years. Also, during this stream, they confirmed the date for the next Devstream. Here is everything you need to know!
What to Expect from Plague Star in Warframe
To get it out of the way, the next Devstream for Warframe will take place on September 25th. This Devstream will showcase what to expect in the month afterwards. Please stay tuned for our coverage on that day!

For those who have yet to experience Plague Star, it is an infested-centric event in the Plains of Eidolon. A giant infested meteor lands near Cetus, and you are tasked with helping destroy it alongside your fellow community members. Similar to past Operations, such as Eight Claw in Isleweaver, you will be able to get a whole slew of rewards by spending event currency.
You can expect to earn the below new rewards, as listed by the official Warframe news post:
- Hemocyte Glyph
- Hemocyte Sigil
- Hemocyte Decoration
- 1x Omni Forma available to buy
- Protosomid Shoulder Guard
- Aspirus Ephemera
- Cryptanaut Necramech Helmet
- Earth Console
- Murex Console
The last time Plague Star took place in the game was in November of 2023, making this a long time coming for fans of the event and its various rewards. To see more of what you can expect to earn from the event shop, you can find those details here.
