One of the things that separates Borderlands games from most looter shooters is the “Shift” program. Shift is a separate account/program that Gearbox uses to give out free rewards via codes they give out. These codes are usually found on Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox’s Twitter/X account. I do recommend making an account and following him there for the codes to get them exactly when they drop.
While we at Lords of Gaming will do our best to update this article with the codes as they drop. They will usually come in individual 25-digit codes that usually give one Golden Key for the Golden Chest at every location’s player hub, which expire within 2 days.
However, since launch, there have been a few unique Shift Codes to give you unique cosmetics. Here are the current working Shift Codes in Borderlands 4.

The first one is for the “Break Free” pack. This will include skins for each Vault Hunter, 2 Echo-4 drone skins, and a Legendary Shield (do not use this code until you are level 50 for the best use of the shield):
