Keeping the JRPG gravy train going after 2024s onslaught from Atlus and last year with Dragon Quest 1+2 HD-2D Remake and Octopath Traveler 0. Square Enix is coming into 2026 strong with Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, which is slated to launch on the 5th next month. So, if you still do not have enough JRPGs to play, Square Enix has you covered! In fact, tomorrow, on the 7th of this month, you will be able to play a demo of the upcoming JRPG. Here is everything you need to know about it!
Details on the Demo for Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
Back in November, Lords of Gaming’s Robert Kellett was given the privilege of previewing the game thanks to Square Enix. His preview spoke on the gameplay and moment-to-moment exploration that you should definitely give a read ahead of the demo to know what you are in for!
Not much is known regarding how far you will go in the demo. But considering past demos put out by Square Enix, like Octopath Traveler 0, the demo for Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined will most likely let you play the first few hours of the game on a timer. While that does not sound the most exciting, it will let you get a proper taste of the game before deciding to buy it.

The demo will be made available on all modern platforms. Which include:
- Nintendo Switch 1|2.
- PlayStation 5.
- Steam.
- And the latest Xbox consoles.
All progress made in the demo of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined will carry over to the full game if you choose to buy it. You will also get a dress outfit for one of the female party members. The game will launch in full on February 5th for $59.99 with a deluxe edition that gives you a 2-day head start if you’re eager to get started!
