Apex Legends Beginner’s Guide 2021
Apex Legends is a free-to-play Battle Royale game that originally came out in 2019. Since it is now 2021 you may be asking yourself if now is a good time to play. The good news is that Apex Legends is still alive and well. If you are looking to get started with it, take a look at this beginner’s guide.
Try Different Characters
There are more than ten different characters that you can play as in Apex Legends, six of which start out unlocked for you. The others either have to be earned through gameplay, or bought with real money. One of the best things for a beginner to do is to try them all out. You might find your first Legend is your favorite. On the other hand, it might take several tries to find what works for you. Every character has unique abilities and play styles, so you should take the time to try them all out.
Use The Shooting Range
Apex Legends has enough different weapons that they could have their own guide on using each kind. However, when you are just starting out, you do not need a whole guide. What you need as a beginner is to familiarize yourself with the variety of weapons. While you can do this in matches, that is a lot of pressure. It is a better idea to head to the shooting range. There you have the opportunity to try all of the weapons in the game. Spend some time testing them out and finding what weapons work the best for you. That way, you will have a better idea of which to use in the ring.
Trust Your Team
While you can play alone in Apex Legends, it is more common to play with one or two other players. One of the best things you can do as a new player is to trust your team. The odds are that you will be playing with people who are more experienced than you are. Ask them any questions, learn from them, and work together. You will stay alive longer if you work together, and staying alive longer means you will learn more. If you let them know you are a beginner, they will likely be helpful.
Explore The Maps
Apex Legends currently has three maps. That may not seem like a lot to a beginner. However, they are quite large, and they change often. Every season of Apex Legends has two active maps, featuring either a new one that is added or an old one with updates. One of the most important things that you can do early on is familiarizing yourself with the active maps. Take the time to explore, checking out new areas, and learning what kinds of loot spawn where. Also, take the time to find escape routes from everywhere you can. You never know when the ring may start to close when you are in a bad spot.
There is a lot to learn in Apex Legends when you are first starting out. It takes quite a lot of time for someone to go from a beginner to a pro. But with these tips, hopefully, it will be a smoother ride. Do you have any other tips for new players? Let us know in the comments.
