Amazon’s New World Tops Steam Charts This Week

It’s the end of another week and that means it’s time to take another look at the best-selling games on Steam via SteamDB. There are a handful of new surprises that are topping the chart this week.

A Whole New World

Amazon’s new MMO New World has taken the #1 and #2 position this week, after previously being #9 last week. This speedy shot to the #1 spot was no doubt caused by the pre-order beta access that kicked off this past week. While the game has had its fair share of hiccups, and issues. It appears that many people are interested in New World and with some MMO fans looking for an alternative to World of Warcraft this game could not have come at a better time. While Rimworld’s highly anticipated DLC Ideology snagged the number 3 spot, and will no doubt be a familiar part of this list in the coming weeks.

GTA V continues to be on the top seller list, alongside Red Dead Redemption II, no doubt fueled by both games being discounted this week. PlayStation published Days Gone rounded out the number 10 spot, while Death’s Door by Devolver Digital took the number 9 spot this week.
