As part of the summer 2021 all-digital gaming conventions, today was the opening day for Gamescom. The 2021 Gamescom event will take place from August 25th through the 28th. Kicking off with today’s Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards. The two-hour Opening Night Live event promises fresh looks at nearly 40 upcoming games. As well as brand new game announcements. Including the brand new beat-em-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is being developed by Tribute Games, the team behind Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In conjunction with Dotemu the publisher of Streets of Rage 4, and Windjammers 2. With that our expectations are set high with this one. TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge looks absolutely stunning. It captures both, the classic arcade games and the original animated series.

The new trailer shows off a playable April O’Neil, as well as some new finishing moves. Unfortunately, Dotemu did not drop a release date. Yet, it is nice to see the game growing. This is one we are looking forward to as the press release now dates the game for some time in 2022.
