About LOGNET

Lords of Gaming (LOGNET) is all about passion and chasing dreams. The roots of LOGNET don’t fall on one person, but rather a collective group of gamers determined to become a part of the video games media.

Everyone’s favorite Shinobi, Lord Cognito, from the Iron Lords Podcast (ILP) was also chasing the media dream. In 2015, he took that holy video game pilgrimage and made his way to E3 all by his lonesome. It was there he got a taste of the dream when he attended Xbox Fan Fest. All attendees were given access to the Xbox E3 press conference along with a 3-day pass. During the trip, he met author and gamer, Josh Reding. The two hit it off instantly and maintained their friendship for years to come.

The late Kevin Alexander (aka iDizzy81 RIP) already had some experience running video game websites. He previously ran Playback Gaming, a website known for passionate and level-headed gamers. It was successful for a time, but Dizzy wanted more. Dizzy was already friends with Gaming Addict and he introduced Addict to the rest of the ILP crew. It was there that Cog and Dizzy saw eye-to-eye and they aligned their dream to achieve media status.

In 2017, ILP was officially created and went through different media incubators to help them get on their feet. But it didn’t take off. Instead, the dream of getting media status recognition kept getting crushed, and doubt crept in. Luckily, Dizzy reached out because he believed in ILP and it was here where plans were being devised.

Both Cog and Dizzy wanted a platform where gamers are free to speak their mind in a constructive and open environment. One that didn’t want to be a part of clickbait and divisive blogging and journalism. Dizzy with the know-how teamed up with Cog and his buddy Hyde, the LOGNET CTO. And in April 2019, the trio launched Lords of Gaming.

Dizzy was the site’s first Editor-in-Chief (EiC), but when he had his first bout with cancer, he handed over the reins to Josh. Reding’s writing credentials helped elevate LOGNET and maintain that level of pedigree to this day. By March 2020, LOGNET made the dream a reality and received its first media credential. This moment was a major turn for LOGNET’s young history, and we aren’t looking back. In January 2022, Josh passed the torch to the current EiC, Mahmood Ghaffar where he continues to lead LOGNET.

We are grateful to each and every one of our audience members. Know that we never take you for granted and we thank you all for joining us on this journey. Here at LOGNET, we believe dreams are not only meant to be chased but achieved as well. This is only the beginning. This is only the start of our journey.
