Elden Ring is just around the corner. In fact, FromSoftware just released a beefy 15-minute gameplay video you can check out here or below. However, fans wanted to know what are the game’s performance and resolution targets. Luckily, we now know what they are. Bandai Namco has just published the Elden Ring performance and resolution targets for both consoles and PC.
Last generation consoles are locked to 30 FPS. While the next generation consoles will offer 60 FPS in performance mode. So it’s safe to assume, there will be some sort of Quality/Resolution mode too. Please also note, that Bandai Namco confirmed ray tracing support for both Xbox Series X/PS5 and PC via a patch.
Elden Ring is launching on February 25, 2022, for Xbox, Playstation consoles, and PC. Please check all details below:
Elden Ring Specs and Compatibility
Below you can find the game specs for Elden Ring as well as the compatibility options between last and current generation consoles:
- Maximum resolution*: Up to 3840x2160P
- Framerate: Up to 60 FPS
- HDR*: Supported
- Raytracing (via patch): Supported
The PS4 version can be ported to PS5 and the save data can be transferred to the newest generation. However, the PS5 version cannot be ported to PS4. Keep in mind if you port your PS4 game to PS5 and continue to play, your save files cannot be transferred back to PS4.
Full cross-generation compatibility. The game can be ported between both generations and the save data can be transferred.
