Warframe: Citrine’s Last Wish Arrives Tomorrow
Following their new cadence of surprise launches for Warframe. Digital Extremes announced today that the newest update: Citrine’s Last Wish is launching tomorrow. Bringing with it the newest warframe, a couple of weapons, a new mission type, and more! Here is everything you need to know about the update.
Details on Citrine’s Last Wish for Warframe
While most of the details for this update were covered in Devstream 167 last month. The details surrounding Citrine, the newest warframe were not fully detailed until today. In their blog post on the official Warframe website, they detailed her abilities:
- Passive: Geoluminesence
When Citrine picks up a Health Orb, an aura surrounds her that steadily provides additional health over time. - Fractured Blast:
Slash and stagger enemies with a crystal blast that inflicts Bleed. Enemies afflicted with this Status Effect have an increased chance of dropping Health and Energy Orbs. *Fractured Blast is Citrine’s Helminth Ability at 50% strength. - Preserving Shell
Citrine guards herself and nearby allies with a crystalline shell that gradually decays. Kills and assists increase the defensive power of the shell. - Prismatic Gem
Deploy a gem that shoots prismatic beams. The gem targets enemies that are taking weapon damage from Citrine and her allies. Its beams inflict Heat, Cold, Toxin, and Electricity Status Effects. Status Chance and Status Duration increase for nearby allies.. *Prismatic Gem is Citrine’s Railjack ability – can be used to deploy a geode via the Tactical Menu. - Crystallize
Citrine summons crystal fractals. The fractals rush forward, seeking enemies. Enemies touched by the fractals are paralyzed by crystalline growths. Hit the growths to deal increased damage.
Her abilities seem like they synergize well with her signature weapons. Such as the Steflos shotgun that functions like the Arca Plasmor but when you hit an enemy with the blast. It also pierces through them and pushes through them further. Coming alongside the shotgun is the Corufell two-handed scythe. That functions like a gun blade with its heavy attacks.
New Mission Node: Tyana Pass
Also coming in this update for Warframe is a new defense mission on Mars. In this mission, players will have to use a special void tunnel between Venus and Mars to defend their objectives. This mission is where you will be able to obtain the blueprints for Citrine, Steflos, and Corufell. However, if you are not lucky in these missions. You can also trade in special resources from these missions at Otak in Deimos. This also means you will have to finish the Heart of Deimos quest.
New cosmetic items are coming in this update. Such as face paint for the Drifter. As well as the Rhino Deathwatch deluxe skin. There will be 4 new arcanes coming in this update. As well as the following:
- Tauforged Archon Shard pity system which will increase your likeliness of getting a Tauforged shard every time you do not get one. It was also detailed the pity system will be Shard-type specific.
- Cold Status Effects will now be stronger and over time slow enemies more.
- New Augments for Gara, Gyre, Revenant, and Yareli.
- And the Ember Voidshell Skin.
