Devstream 167 has just wrapped up on the official Warframe channels. This Devstream focused on the next mainline update for the game. As well as a multitude of cosmetics and much-needed quality-of-life updates. But for those who are waiting for news regarding The Duviri Paradox, there was very little news regarding it. However, there is still tons of stuff coming to the game with the next update. Here is everything from Devstream 167.

Everything from Devstream 167

Devstream 167 kicked off with some news regarding The Duviri Paradox. Such as the Devstream focusing on it will be next month. But there is still no release window at this time. However, there were a few screenshots of a cavern. As well as a brief glimpse at part of the overworld. It seems as though there will be an underground portion of the open world. Until the next Devstream, this was the only update regarding the highly anticipated update.

Warframe’s 10th-anniversary event is happening soon. There is a lot of stuff planned for it but nothing detailed as of right now. But the next event for the game is the return of “Star Days” which is the valentines day themed event. This event returns on the 1st of next month. Ticker in Fortuna will have his original stock. Alongside new emotes and glyphs for players to collect. Such as a two-player hand-heart emote.

But the key update that was showcased in Devstream 167 was “Citrine’s Last Wish”, the next mainline update.

Citrine’s Last Wish Details

Citrine’s Last Wish will be a “classic” Warframe update. In a similar vein to Lua’s Prey. Where it consists of a new game mode, a new warframe, a set of new weapons, and much more. The new game mode will be a defense mission but with a twist, named “Mirror Defense”. There are no details on how this twist will behave. But it may behave similarly to Conjunction Survival.

Players will have to finish “Heart of Deimos” first to be able to play this new game mode. Otak from Deimos is involved with the update like Yonta from the Zariman. Where you can buy missing components to the weapons and the new warframe if you do not get lucky in the game mode. Alongside new Arcanes, one for primary weapons, secondary weapons, and two warframe arcanes. No details on these arcanes yet.

The new warframe “Citrine” is coming with this update. She will be a support frame with the design themed around crystalline. There will be a new shotgun named Steflos. This shotgun shoots a projectile that goes further the number of enemies you hit with each projectile. In Citrine’s hand, the projectile flies faster. The new melee weapon Corufell is a two-handed scythe with a heavy attack that makes the weapon fire like a gun blade. You can fire twice in a row with these heavy attacks.

Citrine’s Last Wish is coming next month with no concrete date. Citrine will not have a leverian like Voruna in Lua’s Prey. But will have an alternate helmet like her. As well as a Prex Card in the game for collectors.

Warframe Quality of Life Updates

There were some quality-of-life changes announced as well in Devstream 167. Such as a pity system for Tauforged Archon Shards. Where the base rate stays at 20% but will increase by 20% every time you do not get a Tauforged Shard. This system is player specific and will not boost the drop rate for the entire party during Archon Hunts. The normal Cold status effect is now going to apply a standard 50% slow rate and goes up to 85% over time.

There will be 4 new augments coming to the game for:

  • Gara.
  • Gyre.
  • Revenant.
  • And Yareli.

The key takeaway for these augment was Revenant’s augment now applying Mesmer Skin stacks to players which will be interesting to see how fast it gets changed. As well as Yareli will now have a Merulina augment that will now heal itself when you kill enemies with Sea Snares. In addition to this augment, Merulina will now take 90% of the damage Yareli takes instead of 75%.

Other Changes and Additions

To wrap up the breakdown for Devstream 167, here is everything else coming to the game with Citrine’s Last Wish:

  • The beetle thing in the Devstream announcement was a deluxe skin for Rhino called “Deathwatch”. Stop using the phrase “BugFrame”, it will only get worse.
  • There will be an Ember Voidshell skin.
  • Protea, Titania, and Nezha Prex Cards are coming as well.
  • Face painting for the Drifters is coming. Some will be free, but most will not.
  • Lighting for open worlds is being improved to ensure shadows are not overbearingly dark.
  • Syandana’s will flow smoother and should no longer get caught on stuff on warframes.

Warframe on mobile devices is currently at max capacity and Digital Extremes will be expanding the player count over the coming months. For people interested in cross-save, there are still no real details. But they are looking into improving crossplay. Such as allowing people to join clans on other platforms. As well as trading. No time frame for these changes at this time.

Finally, during the next Devstream, the next prime warframe will be revealed. This is speculated to be Hildryn Prime. However, these are all the details from Devstream 167. If you would like to know more, you can watch the stream here.
