PlayStation Showcase 2023: Project Q Handheld First Look

Project Q

Ahead of the summer 2023 all-digital gaming shows, today Sony is holding its very own all-digital PlayStation Showcase. The showcase will open up what will be a very busy summer season with Summer Game Fest (hyperlink with the link below) right around the corner. During the 2023 PlayStation Showcase, we got our first look at a new PlayStation handheld. Introducing Project Q.

Many gamers have been asking for PlayStation to return to the handheld market. A market that the company departed after the failure of the PlayStation Vita. This new device which is codenamed Project Q will not be a successor to the Vita, however. You will not be able to play games natively on it, instead, everything will be streamed via remote play. The handheld will be packed with all the features gamers have come to love about the Dualsense controller. No price point or more information is currently available it is likely we will hear more about this handheld later this year.

Project Q Reveal

It is interesting to see PlayStation step back into the handheld market even if it’s just in terms of remote play for the PlayStation 5. Are you excited about Project Q? Let us know in the comments and don’t forget to check back for the latest gaming news and information.
