Baldur’s Gate 3 Gets An All New Villain Voiced By Jason Issacs

Baldur's Gate 3

The summer gaming conference and convention season is in full force. Although the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was officially canceled this year, plenty of other showcases are quickly filling the void. Geoff Keighley, the showrunner of The Game Awards, is leading the pack with his Summer Game Fest showcase, which includes over two hours of game announcements. Among them comes a new look at Baldur’s Gate 3, the upcoming RPG from Larian Studios.

In this new trailer, we got a look at the villain Gortash who is voiced by Jason Isaac. Many people will remember him for his role in the Harry Potter series as Lucius Malfoy, as well as Captain Hook in Peter Pan. He has a long history of playing absolutely memorable villains. Now he will take on the role of Gortash a diabolical political behemoth who has an army of mechanized monsters at his disposal.  It certainly looks like he will be a great villain for players to square off against. We will likely see more about him in the coming weeks leading up to the launch. Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC on August 31st, 2023
