The owners of the E3 had confirmed that the seminal gaming event is cancelled forever. The announcement came the way via a post on X (formerly Twitter).

E3 is Dead, Long Live E3

Reedpop, owner of events like PAX and EGX was responsible for the organization of the Electronic Expo or as we all know it E3, but after several attempts of launching it with a new perspective. However, it ultimately fell flat and couldn’t get off the ground. As a result, it was decided that the event will be permanently canceled.

The Entertainment Software Association was the creator of this famous expo. But they can no longer make it interesting for fans or the press alike. As a result, they have come to the conclusion to cancel it for good.

Thanks for the Memories

In a post in X they put the following: “After more than two decades of E3, each one bigger than the last, the time has come to say goodbye” and they finished with a: “Thanks for the memories.”

The very first E3 was celebrated in 1995, and the expo continued to grow over the years having epic launches like consoles or the most anticipated games. But in recent years, the couldn’t get any of the publishers to participate in the event, so with years were lacking of big announcements.

In the final E3 of 2021 neither PlayStation, Xbox nor Nintendo was present in the event so it almost did not have any big reveal to show.
