Borderlands 3 DLC Featuring Moxxi vs Handsome Jack

Today Gearbox Software announced the first DLC to Borderlands 3. Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot looks to bring vault hunters to a casino for revenge. In the trailer, Moxxi explains how Handsome Jack stole designs for his own personal use in building a casino. Clearly a Handsome Jack thing to do. The DLC will feature a new story for the players to enjoy as well as new loot, everyone’s favorite part of the game. The DLC will also allow for everyone, allowing both old and new players to dive right in.

Speaking with Greg Miller and Fran Mirabella from The Borderlands Show, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford explained how the team was able to treat this DLC for fun rather than worry about the main game.

The stakes we feel are a little lower which means we can be riskier.

Pitchford went on to imply that because the Casino is an off-shoot in the universe, with a presumably dead villain, the team did not have to worry about what affects the universe lore now. You can see the full interview with more Borderlands 3 information here.
